Usain Bolt, the fastest man on Earth, has been disqualified in 100m-run where he previously dominated, due to a false start, in the ongoing World Championships in South Korea last Sunday.
After Bolt’s disqualification, there was a minor disagreement, so a new false start rule may be on the books. This could lead to changes in track’s awful false start rule. The “one and done” rule has been on the books since 2010 and has led to a number of high-profile athletes getting kicked out of races before they begin.
